Our "credit crunch" Easter weekend in Essex! : )

Well it turned out to be a fab weekend and not very credit crunch at all : )
We spent our first night in a Holiday Inn just outside Colchester town as it was near the zoo where we were headed the next day. Colchester Zoo is rated the 4th best in Europe! It was good fun, neither of us have been to a zoo for years. I think the seals were my personal favourite!

Walking in the tunnel "through" the seal pool.

Rhino's in England - not sure about that!

Lynchy trying to the pull the weight of a Tiger : )

Waiting for the bus back to Colchester after the Zoo.

From Colchester we got a bus to a seaside town about an hour up the coast to Frinton-on-Sea. We stayed at the Rock hotel and we had views of the sea from our room : )

Frinton is not the typical crazy english seaside town with fun fairs & take away fish & chip shops - they have managed to steer clear of that so it was very peaceful.

We did take a walk down to the neighboring town on Sunday called Walton which was a crazy seaside town. Good fun to go and see & they have the longest pier in the UK which was 3/4 of a mile long!

Afternoon beverages in the Garden of the hotel.

We did a lot of this, just chilling in the park reading many newspapers.
