South Africa - January 2011

We decided rather last minute that we wanted to go to Justin & Claire's wedding in the Elgin Valley outside Cape Town on 29 January.  We were lucky enough to get good tickets with SAA and we were off.  We spent the first 5 days catching up with family and friends in Joey's and then headed down to Cape Town for the wedding.

Afternoon tea at Clive & Goodies new house.  Playing marbles with Ella B

 How cute is my niece!
We were lucky enough to get a free night back at our wedding venue as part of the wedding contract.  We drove up to Mangwa Valley on Monday afternoon & spent the night.  They gave us the honeymoon suite again and a complimentary bottle of champagne!  It was sooo lovely to be back there with all the happy memories - we missed you all.

 And there he is
 Where's Wally?
Lynchy insisted that I put this photo on the blog (not that I wanted to).  It is the spot where we got married - doesn't he look delighted!

 Game drive at Mangwa

We also took in a spot of relaxation and treated ourselves to a half day spa at Mangwanani.  That is just pampering like you have never had before : )

Someone's feet were a little ticklish...

 Like my car!
We had a lovely lunch at the Simonsig Wine Farm on our way our to Elgin

32 degrees, soak up the heat
I could definitely see myself in one of these : )
We stayed in this luxury tented camp in the Elgin Valley - how awesome are these tents, they even have en-suite bathrooms.

 We just love our bubbly!

The indoor barbeque which very much appealed to my pyromaniac husband
